Rafting Trip! Day One, On The River

White Water Rafting on the Green River

We put in just below the dam on Green River, on Friday Aug 17, 2012. Our party included The Ashby Siblings and Spouses. This was our first gathering to have just the grown siblings and no children!

In addition to the rafts there were two rubber kayaks, affectionately called "Rubber Duckies" that added a lot of fun. Aaron dibbed the first ride,

with Daniel a close second.

One raft held the luggage and two people in addition to the guide. Ambur and Ryan were the first two in the "Love Boat" (And yes we got lots of comments about the pile of luggage in that boat!) 

 In the second raft, we had Andrew and Adriane in the front,

Marci and Brielle were in the middle,

 And Amiane and Alex in the back with our very capable guide Buckley.

 Aaron & Brielle and Alex had some GoPro Cameras that were a lot of fun. Waterproof with velcro straps, they gave a wide range of action shots. (Credit goes to Aaron, Brielle, Andrew and Alex for taking lots of awesome pictures, including most of the ones in this blog.) Drew and Marci had a pretty sweet water proof camera as well.
