The Chicks

We have really enjoyed raising our baby chickens and wanted to share some pictures.

 These are the free chicks we received at the 4-H Chicken Stock May 5th, plus the little blue/grey chick. It still hasn't grown much and is as small or smaller than the new ones.

The Bantam size Red Frizzled Cochan. The feathers are just starting to flip out to give it the "frizzled" look.

We had two white silkies that refused to play nicely with the others so we found them a new home with 4-H children who wanted some for showing.

The children enjoy holding the chickens and have done a pretty good job of taming them. We tried to get the friendliest breeds. Looks like we got pretty good ones.
