There is an old well by the kitchen. We keep it covered, but the children know there are salamanders that live in the bottom of the well. It is not that deep, but a ladder is needed, so they have convinced Uncle Mike to help them check it out.
 |
| Andrew headed down the well. |
 |
| There was a toad at the bottom, |
as well as two salamanders.
It was the highlight of the visit to discover and play with the salamanders before returning them to their home.
