Easter

 February included some big changes as we packed up and left Missouri to move back to our home in Idaho.  March flew by as we unpacked and visited family. We are now happily settled back into our larger house with the big back yard.

 One of the things we were excited about was being able to have chickens, so for Easter we bought some baby chicks.  (The paint on some of the heads is so we can tell the similar looking breeds apart and which chick belongs to which child.)
Makala thought they were cute enough to eat!

This is a Rhode Island Red Hybrid.

Hanna has a Barred Plymouth Rock/Rhode Island Red hybrid.

Caleb is hoping for a Welsumer rooster as they have a cool color pattern that is showier than the hens. (And because he wants a boy chicken, of course.)

Cousin Colton chose a Barred Plymouth Rock and named it Oreo. (She will be living here with her feathered friends.)

Rebecca and Andrew both have a Buff Orpington, so the blue dot helps us know that this one is Andrew's. He named her YoYo.
