.Saturday we drove out to Prairie Lee Lake to check out the fishing. It was really pretty and the children had a blast chasing and catching wildlife. We heard the bullfrogs, saw geese and a blue heron. And enjoyed the lovely sunshine!
Look close and you will see why the children were reluctant to go swimming!
We saw several watersnakes. 
Andrew was delighted when he woke up from his nap to see we were somewhere new. He gets so excited! You can tell by his smile he loves being outside and going on adventures with the family.

This baby turtle was tiny! About the size of a silver dollar. It was so fun to watch as it poked around the weeds.

"There is a moving piece of moss, do you see it?" It is darker green.
Joseph had to catch it so we could have a closer look.

The turtle looks like a moss monster! Andrew is much cuter! John and I will probably come out to visit next summer. We'll combine it with a trip to see his sister who lives in Wichita. Unless, of course, we are expecting baby #5 by then. If so, we'll postpone the trip a year. By the way, tell Makala to check her Facebook account. I sent a message and need a response. Thanks!

What a fun outing! I would love to see little turtles and such...but the snakes...no thanks! Andrew is SUCH a cutie!
